Do Not Animate Ever Again!

Well then my friends. Animating "things" is finished. Now one more... actualy two more things to go, Light & Cameras. I'm not push hard on this lighting proccess because I do not know lighting well... But what the hell let's try what 3DSMax can't do. Or let's try what "I" can't do.

I wanted not too much illumination inside of the room. But when AJ breaks door open, there should be light illuminate inside that coming from outside. Hmmm... how about a volumetric light that? Wow that looks great... even it makes rendering time take 3 times longer... it looks cool. Now... how about adding smoke and little dust particles fly in the air as volume light illuminating them? Oh just kidding. That's juts too... Anyway. Lets over it. Because I think I'll spend SOME time on Cameras.

Camera placement and movement is one of the most important thing. I've done best that I can to capture the best action. I tried make it look like Hong-Kong Action Movies. John Woo movies especialy. :) Also, I've applied "Depth-of-Field" on a scene where AJ aim his pistol to camera. Everyone is familiar to that effect right? You know, camera just focus on one object and other objects that out of focus range will be blurred. I really liked this effect but it takes too much time to render it. It takes 3 hours for 40 frames. But I used it on that scene anyway.

After all the rendering completed, it is time composite these rendered frames. I didn't rendered whole animation. I divided it 20 cut, then rendered every cut to bmp frames. By the way it took around 14-16 hours. Then I imported these frame sequences to Adobe Premiere to add sound affects and edit the animation. Some sound effects, I couldn't find on internet so I made some of that myself. It was really funny. For these falling boxes, I've used a real cartoon box. I throw it on wall and... actually I've made my mom throw the cartoon box on the wall so I could record the sound. :) For the dropped pistol sound, I've used my real Desert Eagle... Ok ok I used my TV's remote controller for it. I dropped it over my monitor and record it. It sounds like a pistol. Or is it? I think nobody will say "oh! that was a remote controller!" to me. :)
