Holes
Allright guys. Now everything is ready for action.
So let's rock! :)
First, AJ breaks into room. He kicks the door. I
applied a motion blur to the door so it looks smooter. Also, don't
miss the swinging "667" number. Man, is it hard to animate
little things? I really spent lots of time on that. :) Anyway,
AJ enters the room, kicks the table, this makes table and BadGuy01
to fall backward. Also, the Pistol that laying on the table flies
up when AJ kicks the table. It'll be going down later. By this
this time, BadGuy01 stuck in between wall and table. By the way,
that Bottle on the table will fly and smash on that wall and break
into pieces. I'll have to learn particle systems to make this
kind of effect. No big deal. It can't be hard as Reactor I think.

I'm right. I've done nice breaking bottle animation.
Now, after BadGuy 01 stuck between wall and table,(upside down)
AJ take one step further, and then he swings his right arm with
a slight momentum of his body. And shots at the BadGuy 01 through
table.
Now, what if there'll be bullet holes on the table?
What if there'll be wood patricles to spread out when this holes
appear? And what if there'll be also blood spread out from BadGuy01?
That would be COOL! But how? Particles of course! But... how?
The first problem is bullet holes. Thats easy, I
just use a boolean compound object on the table and select 4 cylinder
as opperand objects, and animate opperands so it looks like bullets
go through table. Thats cool. But there's a problem with 3DSMAX's
booleans. If you apply more than one boolean opperand to a single
object, other objects looks funny. It looks like hole, but it
has no depth, like 2D. It's like making hole on a paper instead
of a table. I think you'll understand. :)
Anyway, I found a solution for this. I made one
copy of the table for every bullet hole, then made these tables
Visible-Invisible one after another. It works, but it's very painfull.
Yeah, I still feel the pain that when I clone copied third table.
:)
But, thanks to my friends from Newsgroup (especialy
ShakoD) told me another "less painfull" way to make
4 bullet holes. I just connect 4 cylinder to make one object,
and position that one after another. This way, it looks perfect.
Now, I'm going to make wood particles where bullet
holes appeared. And not just wood particles, I'll also make bloods
spread out everywhere!
